GO! Southampton commissioned me to transform two of seven temporary concrete bollards installed in Mayflower Park. The initiative aimed to brighten up the space and support the council’s efforts to reduce car traffic and encourage pedestrianisation.

Each bollard featured a standalone hand-painted design, and care was taken to ensure the artwork on each bollard could be appreciated independently, as the bollards are regularly repositioned for events. My bollards were brightly coloured, abstract designs inspired by maritime/water and Southampton’s Old Town and heritage venues.
